JONATHAN TO CONTEST 2027 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Image
Former President Goodluck Jonathan is preparing to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). A senior figure in his circle told Vanguard that the decision followed wide consultations on the best political platform for his return. The aim, according to the source, is to offer leadership that can respond to the current economic hardship and poverty in the country. Different groups have already stepped forward with plans to purchase the form on his behalf. They include diaspora supporters, northern-based coalitions, youth movements, and online campaign networks. Some of them say they represent wider national interests and want to be the ones to secure the nomination form before the deadline. Among the groups are movements linked to northern Nigeria and others operating as online support platforms. Each of them has reportedly pledged to raise the required funds to ensure Jonathan enters the race.African Affairs Commentary Alt...

WHY ALWAYS THE GOOD PEOPLE

Image
It is a painful truth that the good often depart this world too soon, while the wicked remain to spread sorrow and chaos.  The kind hearts that offered hope, lifted others in times of need, and lived with honesty and compassion are snatched away by untimely death , leaving a silence that feels unbearable. Their absence creates a void that no words can fill, and the world feels dimmer without the light they once brought. Meanwhile, those who thrive on deceit seem to linger, untouched by consequence, continuing to oppress and torment the vulnerable. It is a bitter irony that those who should be held accountable walk free, while those who built, healed, and loved are gone.  The weight of this loss presses heavily on my soul, wife and family, for your goodness to us ,making me to question the balance of life and wonder why goodness does not always outlast evil on this earth. Rest on SMALL GOD
