A community; Well Favored
Just like the biblical story of God, using Moses to draw water from the rock in the wilderness for the Isrealites, Mr and Mrs Wilson John Udo, has now broken the ‘rocks’ to make it possible for access to clean water in a community, Ikot Anta Eneng Obom,where acidic and coloured water unfit for consumption, abound.
It comes with a solar borehole of 660feet, dug with a fully mechanized rotary rig to achieve the recommended depth.
It has some thousands liters water tank on a 12 meter steel stanchion sitting on a raft foundation.
The facility has a Denmark made Pump A Grundfos solar pump with a flow rate of 6m3/hr which is installed with a solar array of 3000watts.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ukeme Ndioho, the village Council Secretary, On this momentous occasion, poured encomiums on the donor. we're overwhelmed with emotions,show of love and expectations that you will do more of this life-touching projects for posterity shall speak well of your life with us from generation to generation.
The secretary further decorate the donor with an award of ETTE IBEREDEM IKOT ANTA.
Mr./Mrs. Wilson John Udo expressed gratitude to God and urged the village council and youth to maintain the project, in order to attract more community development.
On his part, The Executive Chairman of Ukanafun LGA, Hon. Uyo Ukpana, while commissioning the project, emphasized the significance of maintaining government projects, promising to rehabilitate the Ukanafun-Etim Ekpo Road as Chairman of Ukanafun LGA.
Mr. Eyakeno Umoekpo, Youth Chairman, thanked the chairman and Mr./Mrs. Wilson John Udo for their kindness.
"Comrade Joseph Ndak also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the donor, stating that the project will greatly benefit the vulnerable members of the community who cannot afford to buy water following the high costs of water due to everyday increase in fuel prices.He praised the donor's kindness, praying 'God to grant them long life to continue touching people's lives."
