Defection: What Umo Eno told Akwa Ibom PDP

-Denies the collection of 200Billion per month

-Vows to still control PDP structure

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has directed all commissioners and political appointees to defect with him or they resign from their positions.

The Governor said it was no longer news that he has made up his mind to defect to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“Anybody who claims he is not aware of my intention to leave PDP is still living in 18th century.” The Governor said.

The Governor gave the directive to Commissioners and his political appointees during the ongoing state Executive Council Meeting. his Blogger can authoritatively report

Pastor Eno disclosed that he is in love with the leadership style of  President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, as such he would want to align with him.

He warned his appointees that he has nothing to negotiate with them than for them to follow him or leave the stage.

“Apart from elected officials like House of Assembly members and Local Government Chairmen, I have nothing to negotiate with you.

“Let me tell you, anybody who believes when I leave PDP he will use the party structure to fight me is lying because I will still control the PDP structure.” The Governor said.

Although the Governor admitted he receives two hundred million naira monthly as reported by The Mail newspaper on Tuesday May 20, he noted that he was not comfortable with the story as such news can spike interest from neighbouring state like Cross River.

It can be recalled that some months ago news was making the rounds that Cross River State was nursing plans to approach the Supreme Court to revisit its judgment in which numerous oil wells were ceded to Akwa Ibom State.

As at the time of this report, the State Executive Council Meeting was still ongoing.
