Okongko Charity Foundation: Giving Back To Society- Kendi Jumbo
In the face of the daunting economic downturn in our country and the resultant effects on the wellbeing of the people, especially the less privileged, Okongko Charity Foundation has continued to prove its mettle as a pro-needy humanitarian organisation by silently coming to the rescue of many in this part of the world.
Just recently, the Foundation came through to rescue a few Akwa Ibomites who were on the verge of losing a life-transforming opportunity with the United Nations office in Abuja.
Having been briefed by the affected Akwa Ibiomites about the opportunity and the fear of losing out because of logistics issues, I immediately reached out to Dr. Chris Okongko, Founder of the Okongko Charity Foundation, for help, before I could say Jack Robinson, he authorised a transfer of the required logistics amount to them.
Today, the rest is history!
Why do I put this up? One, it's to appreciate the Foundation for living up to its name and calling as a truly less-privileged-centred foundation, and underscoring the partnership for the humanitarian services of the Umo Eno-led administration.
Recall, the Canadian-based charity organisation has for the umpteenth time undertaken several other humanitarian services in education, healthcare, rural development, empowerment/grants, and support to churches and the less privileged.
Let's be a ladder to which others could reach their destination. Little help does count!
