THIS IS NOT JUST A ROAD; IT IS A LIFELINE THAT CONNECTS - Umo Eno

 I commissioned the 14.28km Ikot Ubo–Odot Road and a model Primary Health Centre in Nsit Ubium yesterday. This isn’t just a road; it’s a lifeline that connects Nsit Ubium, Nsit Atai, Eket, Onna, Ikot Abasi, and others more easily to Uyo and the Airport.



I remember the days of struggling through terrible roads to catch a flight. So I insisted this road be rebuilt to the highest standard, and I’m proud we’ve delivered.


We also opened a world-class Primary Health Centre at Ikot Ekwere as part of our commitment to accessible healthcare for every Akwa Ibomite. And yes, we’re hiring 1,000 new health workers! Applications are open now through our official portal (not through any ‘connections’).


I’m deeply grateful for the love and support from our communities and leaders. We are building real progress, not politics. And we are just getting started. God bless Akwa Ibom State.

UKANAFUN MP, SA HUMANITARIAN SERVICES FIGHT DIRTY OVER SUPERVISORSHIP NOMINEE

A cold War has erupted between the Member representing Ukanafun in the State Assembly, Elder Emem Udom and the SA Humanitarian Services, Elder Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, over supervisorship nominee for Southern Afaha, Ward 10 in Ukanafun Local Government Area. MP Emem and Umoekpo are kinsmen from the same political Ward in Ukanafun. This reporter learned from multiple sources, that the SA Humanitarian Services, leveraging from his closeness to the Governor and SSG's office, has surreptitiously replaced the Nominee of the House Member, Mr. Enobong Oliver, with his Aide, Mr. Unen Abraham. The slot for the Supervisorship Nominee, this reporter further learned, was allotted by the party's leadership for the House Member, as applicable in other State Constituencies, but usurped by the SA Humanitarian Services, in a show of power.
