PRESS RELEASE: CAUTION AGAINST USE OF THE GOVERNOR’S NAME TO SOLICIT FUNDS AND UNAUTHORIZED USE OF GOVERNMENT INSIGNIA FOR PRIVATE EVENTS

The Akwa Ibom State Government has observed with concern the use of the name of the Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, to solicit funds from members of the public for events, as well as the unauthorized use of state insignias by individuals, groups, and organizations to promote private activities.


The public is hereby cautioned that the name and office of the Governor must NOT be used to solicit funds for any purpose whatsoever. Such actions are inappropriate, misleading, and capable of creating false impressions.


We also wish to state clearly that the Governor of Akwa Ibom State will NOT serve as Chairman or Chief Launcher at any event. Consequently, the  name  of the Governor must not be used for such purposes under any guise.


All individuals, groups, and organizations seeking the Governor’s endorsement, presence, or involvement in any event must obtain prior approval from the relevant authorities. Any action to the contrary is strongly discouraged and will be treated with the seriousness it deserves.


While the Government remains open to genuine engagements, due process and official protocols must be strictly followed to safeguard the integrity of the Office of the Governor and the Government of Akwa Ibom State.

  - Demands fulfillment of promises he made to them prior to 2023 elections - Decries exclusion from ARISE AGENDA & Government Activities  The Umoeno Support Group Heads  started gathering under the umbrella of GENUINE GROUP HEADS FORUM (GGHF) for the first time, in a private residence of one of them at Ikot Oku Ikono,on 22nd June and numbered about 86,they  promised to, as a matter of fact and urgency, extend their grievances in writing to Amb.
