Light at the End of the Tunnel: Rep. Idem Pledges to Restore Electricity to Ukanafun LGA in 90 Days

The Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem, has committed to restoring electricity to Ukanafun Local Government Area within 90 days. This promise comes after over five years of darkness for the community.

Rep. Idem expressed deep sympathy for the people of Ukanafun, who have endured prolonged power outages. Following an assessment by a team of engineers, Rep. Idem was briefed on the extent of damage to the electricity infrastructure linking the local government to the national grid.

The engineers provided Rep. Idem with a list of necessary items and cost implications, assuring him that upon provision of these requirements, the infrastructure can be fixed, and power restored within 90 days.

In a show of commitment, Rep. Idem has donated transformers to some affected areas. This initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of the people and stimulate economic growth in the community.

Rep. Idem's promise has brought hope to the people of Ukanafun, who look forward to a brighter future with restored electricity.

As the Federal Lawmaker however charged every village in the local government area to set up security committees, with the mandate to protect the power infrastructure within their domains, from vandalism.
