The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) AKWA IBOM STATE CAUCUS extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno for prioritizing education and student welfare by appropriating Two Billion Naira for the Student Support Program in the 2026 budget. This gesture is a direct response to the demands of students and demonstrates the Governor's commitment to supporting the educational pursuits of citizens in Akwa ibom state.


NANS commends the Governor's Visionary leadership and dedication to enhancing the delivery of quality education. By allocating such a significant amount, the Governor has shown a remarkable understanding of the challenges faced by students and a willingness to address them.


Furthermore, the Nigerian students studying in Akwa Ibom State should keep calm with utmost understanding that the struggle is yielding positive responses, while we admonished  them to join NANS in thanking His Excellency the Governor for such benevolent, been the first of its kind since the creation of Akwa ibom state.


KEY POINTS:


- Appreciation: NANS appreciates the Governor's support for students in Akwa ibom state.

- Education Development: The association believes this initiative will promote education development, economic development through students SMES and encourage students to strive for excellence.


. An interface between the Governor and the student leadership will be of greater height to discuss further inputs that will help drive the students support program and other accompanying activities.

Defection: What Umo Eno told Akwa Ibom PDP

LEAKED: SUPPORT GROUP HEADS WRITES UMOENO

  - Demands fulfillment of promises he made to them prior to 2023 elections - Decries exclusion from ARISE AGENDA & Government Activities  The Umoeno Support Group Heads  started gathering under the umbrella of GENUINE GROUP HEADS FORUM (GGHF) for the first time, in a private residence of one of them at Ikot Oku Ikono,on 22nd June and numbered about 86,they  promised to, as a matter of fact and urgency, extend their grievances in writing to Amb.
