Handing Over Address to the People of Ikot Uko Annang




Fellow residents of Ikot Uko Annang, esteemed elders, women, youths, and children of our beloved village,


It is with mixed emotions that I stand before you today as I fulfill the duty of handing over the mantle of leadership as the outgoing admin Village Head of Ikot Uko Annang to our newly elected leader, Chief Ofonime Monday Akpan.


As I reflect on my tenure, I am filled with gratitude for the trust you reposed in me. It has been a period of challenges, growth, and accomplishments – all made possible by your support, cooperation, and collective efforts. I thank you for walking this journey with me.


Ikot Uko Annang is a community rich in culture, resilience, and unity – attributes that have seen us navigate the tides of change and progress. During my stewardship, we endeavored to address issues touching on development, peace, and the welfare of our people. I trust that the foundations laid will continue to bear fruit under the leadership of Chief Ofonime Monday Akpan.


To Chief Ofonime Monday Akpan, I extend my warm congratulations on your election as the new Village Head. Sir, you inherit a community proud of its heritage and eager for continued progress. I have no doubt that with your wisdom, experience, and commitment, you will steer Ikot Uko Annang toward greater heights. I pledge my support and cooperation to you in this new chapter.


To the people of Ikot Uko Annang, I implore continued unity and collective participation in shaping our village’s destiny. Our strength lies in togetherness – in working for the common good, preserving our values, and embracing development that benefits all.


As I step down, I do so with humility and appreciation for having served. I remain a son of Ikot Uko Annang, committed to contributing in whatever ways I can to our community’s prosperity.


Let us welcome Chief Ofonime Monday Akpan and support him in leading us with vision and dedication.

LEAKED: SUPPORT GROUP HEADS WRITES UMOENO

  - Demands fulfillment of promises he made to them prior to 2023 elections - Decries exclusion from ARISE AGENDA & Government Activities  The Umoeno Support Group Heads  started gathering under the umbrella of GENUINE GROUP HEADS FORUM (GGHF) for the first time, in a private residence of one of them at Ikot Oku Ikono,on 22nd June and numbered about 86,they  promised to, as a matter of fact and urgency, extend their grievances in writing to Amb.
