30,000 VOTES: REP UNYIME IDEM SETS TARGET FOR ENO AND AKPABIO IN 2027

...calls for unity, support for state, federal government

The Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, Rep. Unyime Idem, Ph.D., has set a target to deliver 30,000 votes for Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and President Bola Tinubu, in the forthcoming 2027 General elections, in Ukanafun Local Government Area.

This target represents about 300 percent increase from the over 10,000 votes Governor Umo Eno polled in Ukanafun during the 2023 gubernatorial election.

Addressing members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the Ukanafun homegoing meeting, held at the instance of the Leader of the party in the state, Governor Umo Eno, Rep. Idem urged party faithful to close ranks and get to work, in order to achieve the target.

Also, the federal lawmaker charged APC members to massively mobilize citizens and residents of the local government to enroll in INEC's Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, to be eligible to vote in the next elections.

On the APC membership drive, Idem underscored the need for members to register officially as party faithful, stressing that "politics is a game of numbers."

Thanking Governor Umo Eno for delivering a brand new state-of-the-art General Hospital for Ukanafun, he reiterated the need for APC faithful to continue in unity and love, as well as support the Governor as well as President Bola Tinubu to succeed.

In his words "only in an atmosphere of peace will we experience progress and the development we're yearning for."

The APC homegoing, which held simultaneously across the 31 local government areas of the state, following the directive of Governor Umo Eno, is to galvanize the party structure and shore up its membership and support base at the grassroots.
