12 KILLED, 5 INJURED, 3 MISSING IN FRESH ATTACK

 




Gunmen launched a deadly attack late Tuesday night, killing twelve residents, injuring five others, and leaving three persons missing, suspected to have been abducted.


The attack occurred at about 11:00 p.m. on December 16, 2025, when armed assailants stormed the area, opening fire on unsuspecting residents.


The bodies of the twelve victims have been recovered and deposited at the mortuary, while burial arrangements are currently underway. The injured victims are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals.


As of the time of this report, the whereabouts of three residents remain unknown, raising fears of possible kidnapping.

This tragic incident appears to confirm earlier warnings of planned Christmas-season attacks in parts of Plateau State. Residents across Barikin Ladi and surrounding communities are urged to remain vigilant, intensify local surveillance, and promptly report suspicious movements.


 Security is everyone’s responsibility. Communities must stay alert to repel and prevent further attacks during the festive period.
