In a bid to close the yawning gap of economic inequality occasioned by ‘systems’ and other unforeseen conditions, the President, Okongko Charity Foundation, Dr. Chris Okongko has approved the disbursement of business grants to another set of people living with disabilities in Akwa Ibom State.

The latest beneficiary of the Foundation's milk of kindness is Okon Okwong Ukpong, a visually impaired person and native of Okobo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria — Africa.

Recall that, the Foundation had last month, November 18, 2025, played host to an enlarged Community of people living with disabilities at its corporate office, 118 Atiku Abubakar Way, Uyo, where an end-of-the-year party was thrown at them as well as the disbursement of a three (3M) Million Naira in Business Grants to the community. The exercise which was held in partnership with the Redemption radio Abak, marked the 3rd edition in a row.

Speaking, the MD Redemption FM Radio, Comfort Umanah, who made the presentation to the latest beneficiary, commended the President of the Okongko Charity Foundation, Dr. Chris Okongko, for love and service to humanity.

MD Umanah, who noted that the disbursement was a continuation of the scheme held last month, assured the PLWDs community as well as other less privileged members of the society of the Foundation's resolve to keep meeting them at the point of their needs, going forward.

The MD was frank by the African Representative of the Foundation, Sir Daniel Ekanem; Head of Legals, Barr Mbereobong Obosi and the Head of Media, Comrade Kendi Jumbo. 

Responding, the beneficiary, Mr Okon Okwong Ukpong, appreciated the Foundation and the Redemption FM for finding him worthy of the largesse.

While praying that God replenish the Foundation with more funds to keep reaching out to the needy, he promised to make judicious use of the funds.
