Rep. Idem: A Catalytic Instrument for Human Development Through The Renewed Hope/ARISE Agenda by Comrade Oku Udoetor

 

Rep. Unyime Idem, a Member of Parliament for Ukanafu/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, has demonstrated his commitment to human and socioeconomic development of his constituents through the Renewed Hope/ARISE Agenda. This is demonstrated by his recent One-billion-naira Family-based Business Initiative. 

The program, launched in collaboration with the federal government, aims to empower families and stimulate economic growth in Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Akwa Ibom State.

The initiative, indisputably first of its kind, provides seed capital to families, and enables them to establish or expand their  small enterprises, thereby promoting entrepreneurship, job creation, and poverty reduction. 

Vice President Kashim Shettima, who launched the program, was right when he praised Rep. Idem's efforts, stating that the initiative exemplifies and replicates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda priorities in the constituency including economic empowerment, job creation, and social protection

The program has benefited at first phase 1,000 families, with plans to reach for more in subsequent phases. 

Rep. Idem's vision is to stimulate grassroots economic activity, improve household income, and create jobs, ultimately contributing to not just  the nation's but the Constituency’s development

Again, this highlights Idem's dedication to empowering his constituents and promoting sustainable development just as Vice President Shettima noted, "When a family is empowered, a community is empowered; when a community is empowered, a nation is strengthened"
