Uyo— Political mobilisation around President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid has gathered momentum in Akwa Ibom State, as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in the state formally throw their weight behind the Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general election.

The statement, signed by the Media Directorate of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, describes Nigeria as being at a defining moment that requires policy continuity, institutional stability, and strategic patience to consolidate ongoing reforms initiated by the Tinubu administration.

The group notes that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is conceived as a long-term national reform framework rather than a short-term political programme. According to the statement, key decisions taken by the administration, including fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange reforms, and revenue restructuring, are aimed at addressing long-standing fiscal imbalances and restoring economic credibility, despite the political and social costs involved.

The Ambassadors argue that the early stages of structural reforms are often the most challenging, warning that abandoning the process midway could undermine national stability and negate sacrifices already made by citizens. They stress that a second-term mandate would provide the necessary policy consistency for these reforms to mature and deliver measurable outcomes.

Beyond economic adjustments, the group highlights institutional strengthening as a core pillar of the Renewed Hope Agenda. Areas cited include tax harmonisation, public sector efficiency, infrastructure expansion, and private sector-led growth, which they describe as policies designed for generational impact rather than electoral cycles.

In Akwa Ibom State, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors chapter, led by Prince Ikim, discloses that mobilisation structures are already being activated to engage grassroots voters and communicate the administration’s policy direction and achievements. The group says its objective is to secure strong electoral support for President Tinubu in the state during the 2027 polls.

The statement concludes that the forthcoming election presents Nigerians with an opportunity to reaffirm a national social contract focused on long-term development rather than short-term populism. According to the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, sustaining the Renewed Hope Agenda through continuity in leadership remains the clearest path toward stability, growth, and shared prosperity.

Newspot Nigeria reports that political activities linked to the 2027 election cycle are expected to intensify across states as parties and support groups begin early mobilisation.
