UKANAFUN GOVERNOR'S AIDES TO HOST TWO-DAY FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH- LEADERS REPORT
...Declare Support for Gov Eno's Move to APC
The College of Governor's Aides, Ukanafun Local Government Area has concluded plans to host a two-day free medical outreach for residents in support of Governor Umo Eno's ARISE Agenda.
This was made known during the inaugural meeting of the College held on Monday, June 9, 2025, where discussions also centered on Governor Umo Eno's recent move to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Aides, drawn from the 13 political wards in Ukanafun LGA, resolved during the meeting to align fully with the Governor's political direction and also planned to intensify sensitization efforts in their respective wards.
The Dean of the College and Special Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Prince NsikanAbasi Umoekpo, while addressing the Aides, said the medical outreach would contribute to Governor's commitment to grassroots welfare and inclusive governance.
“This outreach is part of our responsibility to interpret and implement the Governor's vision at the community level.
We must not only follow his lead politically but also ensure his policies are felt directly by the people,”he said.
He described the Governor's transition to the new political platform as a strategic step toward political stability and cohesion in the State, urging Aides to carry the message into every ward and ensure constituents are fully informed and engaged.
Separately, the College members pledged continuous loyalty to Eno's administration and reiterated their commitment to translating the ARISE Agenda into practical, community-based actions.
They also commended the Governor for approving an increment in stipends for Ward Aides, calling it a morale booster and an incentive to deepen community engagement.
