  The Akwa Ibom State Government has dispatched the first batch of youths for specialised training in maritime infrastructure management, as part of efforts to prepare for the commencement of full-scale operations in the sector. The signing of the bond of agreement between the state government and the trainees took place on Monday at the Ministry of Transport in Uyo, the state capital. The Commissioner for Transport, Dr Anthony Luke, who presided over the ceremony, said the initiative marked a significant step in Governor Umo Eno’s drive to harness the state’s blue economy under the administration’s ARISE Agenda.
