  The Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem, has committed to restoring electricity to Ukanafun Local Government Area within 90 days. This promise comes after over five years of darkness for the community. Rep. Idem expressed deep sympathy for the people of Ukanafun, who have endured prolonged power outages. Following an assessment by a team of engineers, Rep. Idem was briefed on the extent of damage to the electricity infrastructure linking the local government to the national grid. The engineers provided Rep. Idem with a list of necessary items and cost implications, assuring him that upon provision of these requirements, the infrastructure can be fixed, and power restored within 90 days. The Youth Leader Ikot Ekpene North West Senatorial District of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Ubokobong Udoworen has lent his voice to the ongoing voters sensitization exercise in the Senatorial District.
