  * All is set for the convocation ceremony of the Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, Ph.D, on Saturday, 18th October, 2025, where he will be conferred a Doctorate Degree in Leadership and Strategic Studies by the Federal University, Lokoja, Kogi State.  Recall that on 11th September, 2025, Rep. Idem successfully defended his thesis, which was on "Leadership and Nation Building in Nigeria." Congratulations my Sagacious, egghead, long-headed , Lollapalooza and educational apparatchik MP.

 

Earlier today, the Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, Ph.D, led the Christian prayers on behalf of the House of Representatives, for the repose of former Speaker, Late Rt. Hon. Chief Agunwa Anaekwe, OFR, during a Valedictory session held in his honour, at the Green Chamber, National Assembly Complex, Abuja.  The Late Chief Anaekwe, who died at the age of 69, served as Speaker of the House of Representatives between 1992 and 1993. Speaking during the session, Rep. Idem, described the late speaker as a gallant leader who committed his entire life to the service of the nation and also thanked God for his life and time on earth.
